Equipment

  • Pellet grill or alternative cooking surface (gas grill, charcoal grill, cast iron skillet)
  • Grill pan or grill basket (optional)
  • Baking sheet
  • large mixing bowl
  • Aluminum foil
  • Airtight container for storage

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs fresh brussels sprouts halved
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Optional toppings: parmesan cheese balsamic glaze, bacon bits

Instructions

  • Preheat your pellet grill or alternative cooking surface to medium-high heat (around 375°F to 400°F).
  • Wash and dry the brussels sprouts, then cut them in halves or quarters, depending on size.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the brussels sprouts, olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well to coat the sprouts evenly.
  • Place the seasoned brussels sprouts on the grill (using a grill pan or grill basket if desired), in a single layer.
  • Cook for 30-45 minutes, turning occasionally, until the sprouts are fork-tender and have a crispy, golden exterior.
  • Remove the sprouts from the grill and serve immediately, topped with optional toppings as desired.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different seasonings, oils, and toppings to create your own unique variations.
If you don't have a pellet grill, you can still achieve great results using a gas grill, charcoal grill, or cast iron skillet on medium heat.
Make-ahead, storage, and reheating: Prepare the sprouts ahead of time, and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat by spreading them on a baking sheet, covering with aluminum foil, and baking at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or until heated through.
