Instructions
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat on the induction cooktop. Add the minced garlic and mixed herbs and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Remove from heat.
Preheat the cast iron skillet or grill pan on medium heat on the induction cooktop.
Season the steaks with salt and black pepper and brush them with olive oil.
Place the steaks on the skillet or grill pan and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 130-135 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare.
During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the garlic butter mixture over the steaks.
Remove the steaks from the skillet or grill pan and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a delicious crust, avoid moving the steak around too much while it's cooking.
Induction cooktops provide precise temperature control, so you can cook your steak at medium heat (around 400-500 degrees Fahrenheit) for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 130-135 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare.
You can adjust the cooking time based on your preference for doneness.
