Ingredients
  

  • 4 lbs. fresh chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon creole seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for air frying, if desired

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) or preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, cajun seasoning, creole seasoning, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, chili powder, and black pepper.
  • Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Drizzle a little bit of vegetable oil over the wings and toss to coat.
  • Sprinkle the dry rub mixture over the wings, making sure each piece is evenly coated.
  • Place the wings on the wire rack in a single layer and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or air fry for 15-18 minutes, until crispy and golden brown.
  • Serve the wings with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese dressing, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store any leftover wings in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For a milder heat, reduce the amount of cayenne pepper in the dry rub mix.
  • For a spicier flavor, add extra cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce to the dry rub mix.
