Ingredients
  

  • 1 ribeye steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 green pepper sliced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1/2 cup barbeque sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat a large skillet or cast iron skillet on medium-high heat
  • Coat the steak in olive oil and season with garlic powder, chili powder, and onion powder
  • Place the steak in the hot pan and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, until you get nice brown grill marks
  • Transfer the steak to the crockpot or instant pot, along with the sliced green pepper and black pepper
  • Pour the lemon juice and barbeque sauce over the steak and vegetables
  • Set the crockpot or instant pot to low heat and cook for 6-8 hours, or until the internal temperature of the steak reaches 145-160 degrees Fahrenheit (depending on your desired level of doneness)
  • Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving
